Date: Saturday 2nd September
Time: 1:40pm
In this talk, I will present an exploration into the captivating realm of designing augmented reality (AR) multiplayer location-based games (LBGs) that enhance spatial presence. By leveraging the power of AR technology and characteristics of gameplay locations, these games offer players immersive experiences that blur the boundaries between the virtual and physical worlds. I will demonstrate innovative methods for connecting multiple players in real time, even if they are in different locations. As a game designer and researcher of location-based games in augmented reality, I will share three space-sharing game modes that can be used to create remote multiplayer games. Additionally, I will provide insight into my personal experience as a game designer and offer hands-on guidance on building unique game designs.
