Everything but Writing: Narrative Design for Theme, World, and Vision

Game writing is a unique skill with its own challenges and opportunities. But narrative design can be so much more than writing. Theme, tone, vision, direction, perspective, plus meaningful choices and environmental and emergent storytelling, and the collaboration of roles and skills that let story support all elements of gameplay, and gameplay reflect story – all of this is the realm of narrative design. This talk is about that stuff.
