How to Pivot Painlessly

Games are creative projects with technical and financial limitations in a fast moving market – by their nature, they’re developed in dynamic environments where the one constant is change.

Despite the inevitability of change, pivots within a project can still be incredibly destabilising and wreak havoc on a dev team and a business. Most game devs have been in the situation where it feels like an outsider or senior person “swoops in” and pivots their projects for mysterious or ill-advised reasons.
