Panel: Fostering Adaptive and Accessible Workplaces

Inaccessible workplaces and inflexible work practices are a barrier to employment for various groups including disabled people and parents. If a company can be adaptable and make changes and accommodations for their workers, then their workplace will be significantly more diverse and inclusive. In this panel, four disabled game developers will discuss their disabilities, how it affects their work, and how workplaces can accommodate these disabilities. We’ll also talk about how in NZ these accommodations don’t need to be feared or costly as there’re various support agencies available to help disabled employees reach their full potential.
