Trash Code (and why it could be invaluable)

As we move through our careers, we are taught to write good, clean and well designed code… but are there any situations where it is beneficial to write code designed specifically to be thrown in the trash? In this talk, catering to programmers but also useful to wider disciplines of game development, we will discuss the importance of rapid prototyping in our project’s development cycle, how it can save ourselves, our team and our company time, and how it usually means doing the exact opposite of what we’ve been taught. Together, we will dive into not only how we can structure our workflow to best carry out this practice but also, how we can maintain a cohesive codebase and catalyze team collaboration along the way.
