Talk Description
This session discusses how to approach writing in the workflow of building your games. Do you start with what the writers need, and work forwards from there? Or do you pick a tool like Ink, Yarn Spinner, Fungus, and the like, and work backwards, supplying your writers with the tools they need? How do you balance the needs of the narrative with the technical needs and constraints of your engines and tools?
In this session, three narrative game tools developers will explore what it takes to build great narrative games, and discuss the possibilities in a lively panel, interspersed with pre-recorded interviews from game developers and narrative experts worldwide.
Talk Takeaways
Attendees will learn how to choose a narrative tool, how they’re used, and what to look for for different types of games.
