Chris is the founder and Managing Partner of Alt Ventures (“AV”), a Kiwi Venture Capital firm that invests in early stage tech startups. Chris spent most of his career offshore in Europe, the US and Australia before returning to NZ where he previously headed up private fund investing at the NZ Super Fund. AV has raised 3 venture funds backing founders in industries ranging from cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, to space technology and media content management. In late 2021 AV raised New Zealand’s first and only videogaming focused venture capital fund and has already invested in a number of Kiwi game studios. Chris is also an active angel investor in the USA.
