Dan Lemmon is a visual effects supervisor who has contributed to eight Academy Award-winning films and has been nominated for four Oscars for his work on the Planet of the Apes trilogy (2011-2017) and The Jungle Book (2016), for which he won an Oscar and a British Academy Award. He has also won five Visual Effects Society Awards, recognizing his work in features and commercials, including top awards for the Planet of the Apes films as well as craft awards and nominations for Avatar (2009) and King Kong (2005).
Dan began his career in Los Angeles at Digital Domain, cutting his teeth on films such as The Fifth Element (1997) and Titanic (1997). After working on The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) from LA, he relocated to New Zealand to continue work on the trilogy at Weta Digital, where he also worked on King Kong (2005) and Avatar (2009). Dan most recently completed work on The Batman (2022) for Warner Brothers.
