James has been in the screen industry for over 15 years, as a Producer and Distributor at Admit One Entertainment, and Festival Director of internationally-recognised film festival Terror-Fi. Two of James’ films THE TURN OF THE SCREW and ETERNITY have screened at the prestigeous Shanghai International Film Festival, with both film being nominated for the Golden Roosters (Chinese Oscars).Terror-Fi is New Zealand’s premier genre festival, celebrating the best genre and cult movies from around the world. Through Terror-Fi, James also recently co-distributed the A24/Ti West horror film X throughout New Zealand.With a background in not-for-profit fundraising, James recently established the Screen Engagement Trust (SET) to support the development of New Zealand stories and their connection to the international marketplace; working alongside writers, producers, directors, and emerging talent.
