Jonathan King’s debut feature Black Sheep became the highest-grossing NZ film at the UK box office on its release. He directed and co-wrote his follow up film Under the Mountain, released by Walt Disney Pictures in Australia and New Zealand and by Lionsgate in the USA. He co-wrote The Tattooist released internationally by Sony/Ghost House Pictures. Microbudget sci-fi Realiti played at festivals in NZ and the USA. His graphic novel for kids The Inkberg Enigma was published internationally in 2020. Jonathan is a Senior Lecturer at School of Music and Creative Media Production, Massey University, where his field of research is in the intersection between film making and game technology.
